“When Gaza is completely destroyed, its citizens will be concentrated south of the Morag corridor and will begin to leave in large groups to third countries”[1]. This is how Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded to the question of when Operation Gideon's Chariots, the new spiral of death and destruction unleashed by the Zionist state in Gaza, will end. Netanyahu himself has not hesitated to define it as the “final solution”. The same term used by the Nazis when they sent millions of Jews, communists and ethnic and religious minorities to the extermination camps of Auschwitz or Mauthausen!

Just like the Nazis! Netanyahu, supported by Trump, organises a holocaust in Palestine

The methods are the same: to provoke a real holocaust by combining mass murder with bombs and bullets and extermination by thirst, disease and starvation in order to force the exodus of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and the internment of many of them in concentration camps in third countries.

Netanyahu defines this new stage of the massacre against the Palestinians as the ‘final solution’. Like the Nazis when they sent millions of Jews, communists and ethnic and religious minorities to the extermination camps of Auschwitz or Mauthausen!

The number of direct fatalities exceeds 70,000. Together with deaths from disease, malnutrition, etc., various sources estimate the deaths at more than 180,000. This massacre could multiply in the coming weeks with the Israeli government's decision to destroy most of the drinking water and electricity systems and to paralyse humanitarian aid convoys, preventing food, water, medicines and other basic necessities from reaching hundreds of thousands of people.

There is no bread in bakeries, and health workers report having to reuse syringes and operate in unsanitary conditions. UN officials warn that 14,000 babies[2] and 65,000 children[3] could die in the coming days and weeks.

Encouraged by Western complicity, the Nazi-zionist government's plans to ‘wipe Gaza off the map’ through Operation Gideon's Chariots are complemented by the launch of Operation Iron Wall in the West Bank.

Someone as unsuspicious of pro-Palestinian radicalism as the director of Global Operations of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, a few days ago, denounced that this operation is entailing ‘the progressive integration of the occupied West Bank into the State of Israel’ in an ‘apartheid situation’ where ‘the line between settler violence and (Israeli) state violence has been completely blurred, making violence and impunity even easier’[4].

We are facing a holocaust like the one organised by Hitler and Goebbels against the Jews, broadcast live on television around the world and with the full support of Donald Trump's ultra-right government (which continues to supply billions of dollars and weapons to the Zionist state) and the cynical complicity of the rest of the Western governments, starting with those of the European Union.

A holocaust against which those governments that issue condemnatory statements merely shed crocodile tears while maintaining trade and diplomatic relations with Netanyahu's murderous regime. And the reason is very simple: as with the Nazi regime, this massacre provides multi-billion dollar profits for big American and European banks and corporations.

A highly profitable genocide

The Zionist state's machinery of destruction and death could not be sustained for 24 hours without the funding, capital, investment and trade provided by Western imperialism.

Trump's plans to turn Gaza into a luxury resort once the Palestinians are massacred and expelled are not delusions. It is a project long cherished by Israeli, American and European real estate speculators, banks and construction companies. This lucrative business that will be built on the blood of the Palestinian people is joined by the exploitation of gas and oil fields, the agro-food sector and investments in the military industry itself and the technology sector linked to arms production and espionage. The manufacturers of the bombs, planes and tanks that raze Gaza are breaking records on the stock market, distributing millions on dividends to banks and companies all over the world.

Governments shed crocodile tears while maintaining trade and diplomatic relations with Israel. As with the Nazi regime, this massacre provides huge profits for big US and European banks and corporations.

Between 2019 and 2023, twenty European banks provided 36.1 billion euros in loans and guarantees to Israel's largest international arms suppliers. Starting with France's BNP Paribas and continuing with Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, Barclays or New York's Citigroup, leader of the consortium that financed the purchase of the F-35 superplanes, the most expensive and destructive on the market. Spanish banks such as Santander and BBVA[5] could not be missing from this macabre list.

From January 2020 to August 2023, 776 European banks provided financial support of 164.2 billion dollars to 51 companies involved in the construction of illegal settlements in the West Bank[6]. Spanish banks and companies rank third in the EU in these investments, without Pedro Sánchez's government moving a single muscle to stop it. Worse, the PSOE and Sumar allow the participation of public companies such as Ineco, belonging to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainability[7], and maintain unchanged the purchase and sale of arms to Israel[8].

And we still have to listen to talk about Netanyahu's ‘international isolation’, the ‘European pressures’ and his ‘efforts for peace’. What cynicism! With the same hand that they sign the declarations of condemnation, they sign the millionaire contracts to continue massacring the Palestinian people!

Trump is seeking the complicity of the reactionary regimes of the Arab world.

As part of the propaganda campaign to whitewash the decisive role of the US and the EU in this genocide, the Western capitalist media present as ‘proof’ of a change in Western policy towards Israel the statements of British Prime Minister Starmer, French President Macron and others threatening to review the signing of a trade agreement between the EU and the Netanyahu regime. Or Donald Trump's recent tour of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates and the fact that he did not stop in Tel Aviv for another photo-op with Netanyahu.

What a fallacy! As if Netanyahu needed more photos with Trump to keep going! As if they weren’t speaking every day, planning the ongoing holocaust together! And, most importantly, as if the Nazi-Zionist regime weren’t still receiving, day after day, the steady stream of money provided by U.S. military aid, arms trade agreements, and the rest of the investments that keep its killing machine well-oiled.

Trump's decisions such as temporarily stopping the bombing of the Houthis in Yemen or the possibility of resuming the negotiations that he himself broke off with Iran are nothing more than the typical cynical manoeuvres of the imperialist Great Game. They are gambling on temporarily postponing the offensive against other enemies in order to concentrate on their main objective at the moment: the genocide and expulsion of the Palestinian people.

The same is true of the agreements signed between the US and the ultra-reactionary monarchies of the Persian Gulf on arms purchases and sales and other investment plans. In addition to improving the competitive position of US companies in some Arab countries, Trump is seeking to secure the support of these regimes to suppress the mass movement in support of Palestine and to continue to submissively accept US and Israeli plans for the region, as they have done so far. Washington and Tel Aviv have long been considering the project for the mass deportation of the Palestinian population to countries such as Egypt, Syria or even Libya.

China and Russia look the other way

However, if Trump and Netanyahu have been able to move forward in this way, it is because the rival imperialist bloc, Russia and China, look the other way and do nothing serious to stop this massacre.

Even if some on the left keep quiet about it, China is already the largest trading partner for the whole of the Middle East and the second largest for Israel. Xi Jinping's regime limits itself to abstract declarations of peace and dialogue while, in practice, it is committed to maintaining the status quo and regional capitalist stability.

Trump and Netanyahu have come this far because the imperialist bloc of Russia and China is doing nothing serious to stop this massacre. Although part of the left silences it, China is Israel's second largest trading partner.

Trade exchanges between Beijing and the Middle East doubled between 2017 and 2022, from $262.5 billion to $507.2 billion. Half of these investments are concentrated in the Gulf monarchies: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, which also provide 50% of the gas and oil consumed by the Asian giant.

Trump's one-off agreements with these monarchies pale in comparison with the decisive weight and far-reaching Chinese projects, which cover all sectors (ports, transport, electricity grids, high technology...) and all countries, including Israel.

In the same period, investments and commercial exchanges between China and the Zionist regime increased from $13.1 billion to $24.45 billion, including the purchase and sale of technology for the military industry, espionage and repression, in addition to important investments in ports, transportation and key infrastructures for the functioning of the Zionist war machine. In fact, between March 2024 and March 2025, while Tel Aviv intensified its genocide, Chinese exports to Israel grew by 53.1% and Israel's exports to China by 48.9%.

The sectors of the Stalinist and reformist left that present Xi Jinping and Putin as anti-imperialist fighters - or as “good imperialists” whose confrontation with Washington “opens spaces for the struggle for peace” and the “sovereignty of the peoples” - should answer these questions. Why have China and Russia in fact not broken diplomatic and trade relations with Israel? Why doesn't Beijing use its economic power and the dependence of dozens of countries on its funding, investments and trade to impose an embargo and sanctions against the Zionist regime and those countries that trade with it, as Washington has done so many times against countries it considers enemies?

The answer is very simple. China and Russia are imperialist powers whose only concern is the defense of their business and interests in the struggle with the U.S. for markets, trade routes and sources of raw materials.

A genuine anti-imperialist struggle in defense of the Palestinian people would unleash a mass revolutionary movement in the Arab and Muslim world, threatening the Chinese regime's business deals, projects and millionaire investments with the Arab capitalist elites.

Intensify internationalist solidarity! Organize the general strike against genocide!

The only way to stop the Nazi holocaust against the Palestinian people is the one shown by the Intifada in the 90s of the 20th century and the one that millions of young people, workers and toilers we have been proposing for months now, taking to the streets in mass demonstrations, organizing encampments in support of Palestine, blocking arms shipments and boycott campaigns against Israel.

Today more than ever, only an international mass mobilization can stop the “final solution” prepared by Netanyahu and Trump with the support of key sectors of the Zionist and international bourgeoisie and the global ultra-right. It is no coincidence that the same ones who boasted of anti-Semitism had turn to the most brutal Zionism embracing its supremacist and Islamophobic discourse and program.

The mass mobilizations in different Arab countries, the 500,000 people who demonstrated in London and the 100,000 that took place in The Hague and Madrid in the last weeks show the enormous strength and will of struggle that exists among the youth and the working class to stop the Zionist genocide and to stand up to the measures of criminalization, as well as to the repression against the movement in support of Palestine that the governments and parliaments of the “democratic Europe” are approving.

Now more than ever, only an international mass mobilization can stop the “final solution” prepared by Netanyahu and Trump with the support of key sectors of the Zionist and international bourgeoisie and the global ultra-right.

It is a matter of taking a step forward. In the Spanish state, but also in France, in Great Britain and in numerous countries, it is necessary to convert all that force into a general strike that paralyzes productive activity, striking decisively at the governments and companies that finance and sustain the genocide. With the atmosphere of rejection of murderous Zionism that exists throughout the world, a general strike would become a point of reference and an example to follow for the oppressed of the Arab world and other continents.

We know that there are many obstacles to achieve this goal, starting with the sabotage of the trade union bureaucracies that bet on rearmament and give their support to the imperialist policies of their governments. That is why it is fundamental to deploy a great campaign of propaganda and agitation in favor of the general strike, organizing massive assemblies in the workplaces, in high schools and universities, in our neighborhoods.

We must intensify the mass demonstrations against genocide, but it is fundamental that the general strike be placed at the center of the discourse. This is the task ahead of us, the thousands of activists and organizations that promote internationalist solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Not a single euro or bullet for Netanyahu's Nazi-Zionist regime!

Break all diplomatic, military, and commercial ties with Israel!

Stop the genocide against the Palestinian people! General strike now!

For a Socialist Federation of the Middle East! From the river to the sea, Palestine will win!
